Hello - I'm Damien and this is my website. Here you'll find my work, divided into categories to make the whole experience more user friendly. The website will be upgraded regularly. So why am I here? Why am I doing this?
Well firstly, I enjoy drawing.
Secondly, I enjoy the storytelling aspect of being an illustrator.
Thirdly, I enjoy the problem solving: like how do you fit 17 different characters into a square composition and still make them and their activities identifiable, or what is a visually interesting way to progress a character from one illustration to the next?
Fourth, I enjoy the collaborative process between myself and the client and/or writer.
Fifth, I enjoy providing my collaborator/client with a product which is better than they imagined it would be.
That is why I studied in this field and have a Bachelor of Design (Illustration Design) and why I am now presenting some of my work here in the hopes of attracting more.
